This is usually a very common scenario that I see couple's facing in their marriage. It is either that they have been cheated on and have decided to try and forgive their spouse and move on with their life, or they have been unfaithful themselves and are in deep regret and will do anything to get their spouse back and save their marriage.
Either way, they are desperate to answer the burning question: just how can I save my marriage after an affair? Is it really possible? How difficult will it be?
1.) You have been cheated on by your spouse
This is technically the much easier scenario. Now, I am not saying it is easy in itself because you are going through a whole world of hurt right now and anger, but deep down you still love your spouse and really want to make things right.
This is ok, because you are in control and can make it happen - it's down to you. Just remain as calm as you can, talk things through with your spouse, get things out in the open and agree a way to move forward, this is key!
2.) You have cheated on your spouse
This is more difficult, because it is your spouse that has the decisions to make and whilst you can follow all the advice in the world to save your marriage, the decision to give things another try or not is down to them.
However, there are things you can do to persuade them, such as keeping calm, don't appear too needy or clingy and present a strong and open approach. This is the best way forward.
